(ROCKWALL-May 9, 2013) Want a night off from cooking? Want to feel really good about taking a night off from cooking?
Come to Joe Willy’s between 5 and 9 p.m. Thursday, May 9, enjoy a great meal, and show support for the 2013 Rockwall HeartChase.
Local HeartChase volunteers will be on hand serving up food and fun, while spreading the word about the American Heart Association’s “urban race” – a unique adventure that will take several teams on a journey throughout Rockwall to solve clues and complete checkpoints in the quickest time possible.
One hundred percent of tips and 10 percent of meal receipts collected at Joe Willy’s on Thursday will help fund Rockwall HeartChase, which is scheduled for the first Saturday in September at The Harbor.
During the HeartChase event, participants may be asked to build a literal food pyramid, learn a quick exercise routine, or find things of interest in the community that they never knew existed. HeartChase events are held around the country.
“Think of it as Relay for Life meets The Amazing Race – to benefit the American Heart Association,” organizers said.
Joe Willy’s is located at 2006 S. Goliad, Suite 200, in Rockwall.
