ROWLETT – Sept 24, 2013 – There will be a Putts for Paws golf tournament benefiting the Rowlett Animal Shelter on Thursday, Oct. 17 at Waterview Golf Club.
The event begins with a shotgun start at noon.
Proceeds will help the shelter fund construction of outdoor kennel runs with concrete floors that can be cleaned and sanitized. These kennels will be designed with a roof to not only provide protection from the elements when the dogs are outside exercising, but will also prevent them from climbing over the tops of the kennels and escaping. By providing these outdoor runs, the dogs get much needed exercise, which keeps them healthy and happy!
Proceeds will also fund improvements to the meet and greet area, which include enlarging the space and adding a cement floor to allow a clean, safe and sanitary environment for visitors to meet their new best friends! Funding is also needed to replace the existing wood fence with chain link and adding a roof over outdoor areas to provide shade for the animals during the summer as well as protection from rain.
Sponsorships are available.

The Rowlett Animal Shelter has maintained a 92.1% or better live placement rate throughout Fiscal Year 2013!
