(ROCKWALL – October 23, 2013) Charlie Daniels and his band will be the feature attraction at the 2014 City of Rockwall’s annual Founders Day celebration on May 17, Mayor David Sweet announced this week.
The 2014 event is being moved to Harry Myers Park– site of the 1st Annual Founders Day Festival – due to the renovation project that is scheduled to start in downtown Rockwall early next year.
Known as a country and southern rock artist, Daniels is also a multi-instrumentalist. He was inducted into the Grand Ole Opry in 2008 and the Musicians Hall of Fame and Museum in 2009.
More information on the 2014 Founders Day Festival and the Charlie Daniels Band will be released after the first of the year by the City of Rockwall.
