The city was recognized as a Scenic City at the highest level of certification – Platinum. Implementation of high-quality scenic standards for public roadways and public spaces is the basis for certification by Scenic Texas, an organization that has identified a direct correlation between the success of a city’s economic development efforts and the visual appearance of its public spaces.
