ROCKWALL (January 28, 2014) Leigh Plagens has filed for the Rockwall ISD Board of Trustees for her final term in place 6.
Leigh has been involved with education her whole life – 37 years in the classroom and 12 years as a board member.
When asked why she was seeking another term, she replied, “A good education is the only way to live your best possible life, and anything I can do to help achieve that for RISD students is not only my goal but my obligation.”
The 2014 Rockwall ISD Board of Trustees election will be held on Saturday, May 10.
Three year terms up for election are Place 6, presently held by Leigh Plagens, and Place 7, presently held by Stephanie Adams.
Candidate application packets may be obtained during regular business hours (Monday through Thursday from 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m., and Friday from 8:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.) in the superintendent’s office at the Rockwall Independent School District Administration / Education Center, 1050 Williams Street, Rockwall. Candidates may file for a place on the ballot at the Administration/Education Center. The deadline to file is 5:00 p.m., Friday, February 28.
