Chamberlain announces candidacy for Heath City Council Place 3

HEATH (January 29, 2014) Local home builder Joe Chamberlain has announced that he is running for Heath City Council, Place 3.

Chamberlain, president of Caprock Custom Construction, Inc., currently serves the City of Heath as Planning and Zoning Commissioner. He also has served the city on the Take Line Committee. He served as the President of the Dallas Home Builders Association for 2013, and presently serves as the 2014-2016 Area Vice President for the Texas Association of Builders.

“The City of Heath has been my home for the past 18 years, and the Great State of Texas all my life,” said Chamberlain. “I have a deep commitment and passion for our city. In keeping with that passion, I am excited to announce my candidacy for the Heath City Council. It would be an honor and privilege to serve, representing our citizens of Heath.”

Chamberlain says the City of Heath will continue to face challenges to its budget and increasing need for infrastructure as reflected in the Capital Improvement Plan. “My family and I love Heath,” he stressed. “The difficulty in balancing our individual property rights and the needs of the City will be centered around resolving how to continue to grow while maintaining a wonderful lifestyle. The next decade will shape the future of Heath as we continue to increase in population. It is also my duty (if elected) to be an efficient steward of our tax money; to keep taxes low and the quality of services high. The City of Heath’s ability to serve our citizens from childhood through the needs of old age is of paramount importance; new and different types of commercial development will be needed.”
