ROCKWALL COUNTY (January 30, 2014) Friends of the Rockwall County Library will meet at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, February 11th in the Community Room of the library. Following a short business meeting and the election of officers for the 2014-15 year, a musical program follows. Looking ahead to St. Valentine’s Day, Sweet and Low, a local vocal group, will sing love songs.
Friends meets six times a year and all meetings, with the exception of the Christmas Luncheon, are held in the Community Room of the Rockwall County Library. The group works to promote the interest and welfare of the Library and profits from their various fundraising events supplement the County library budget, paying for special children’s programming, adult literacy programs, subscriptions and other items.
Meetings start at 11:00 a.m. and visitors are invited; however reservations are required for all and must be received by Tuesday, February 4th. That is also the last day to cancel prior reservations. Contact Leigh Plagens, 972-771-8976 or cplagens65@aol.com.
