ROCKWALL (February 14, 2014) Spring Break 2014 activities are FREE and will take place in the first floor meeting room at the Rockwall County Library, located at 1215 E. Yellowjacket Lane, at the corner of Yellowjacket Lane and Townsend Drive.
Monday, March 10, 2014, at 11:15 a.m.:
The Rockwall County Library will be the place Where the Wild Things Are. Storyteller extraordinaire Dorayne Breedlove brings an interactive and theatrical version of this Caldecott classic to life as children journey with Max to the land where the wild things are! This program begins promptly at 11:15 a.m. and is best for children 3-8.
Tuesday, March 11, 2014, at 6:30 p.m.:
Are you ready for a Wild Encounter? Come and see Jungle Jim Klinger for an experience you will never forget! Be ready to learn about reptiles, amphibians, insects, and more as Jungle Jim brings live specimens as well as fossils and other exhibits to share. This March Family Night will begin at 6:30 p.m. so that the children will have time to see the animals and exhibits up close after the program.
Wednesday, March 12, at 1:30 p.m.:
We are thrilled to welcome puppeteer Sandy Shrout and her hilarious show The Three Little Pigs with a Texas Twist to the library. The show begins at 1:30 p.m. and is as much fun for adults (or more!) as it is for children ages 4 and up.
Thursday, March 13, 2014, at 1:30 p.m.:
Relax when you join us for our Library Movie Matinee at 1:30 p.m. Bring a covered drink and a simple snack and enjoy the movie.
Friday, March 14, 2014, at 11 a.m.:
Celebrate St. Patrick’s Day with us a bit early! Hear a few stories, work on a craft or two, and then join us for light refreshments! The stories and crafts are geared for ages 4 to 10. The festivities start at 11 a.m.
