ROCKWALL, TX (April 8, 2014) Dodie’s Cajun Diner will host its Annual Crawfish Fest at The Harbor on Lake Ray Hubbard in Rockwall from noon to 5 p.m. Sunday, April 27th, featuring all-you-can-eat crawfish and live music by The Big Daddy Band.
All proceeds from ticket sales will be donated to the JER Chilton YMCA at Rockwall’s Angel Camp, a summer program for local children with special needs.
“Giving back to the community is very important to us,” said Dodie’s co-owner Mike McRae. “We encourage everyone to come on out for a fun and relaxing day at The Harbor. Bring friends and family and enjoy good food and live entertainment for a great cause.”
Last year, Dodie’s served up more than 1,200 pounds of crawfish at the 2013 Crawfish Fest, which benefited the Rockwall Rotary Club and its community service projects. The event attracted hundreds of crawfish lovers from the Lake Ray Hubbard area, as well as surrounding areas.
Dodie’s will expand its courtyard for the day’s festivities. Enjoy a lighthouse view and spectacular outdoor dining while grooving to The Big Daddy Band from 1 to 4 p.m.
Get your fill of Cajun music, cold beer and non-stop crawfish, served up with corn and potatoes, jambalaya and red beans and rice. For the kiddos, Dodie’s will cook up homemade mac & cheese and corn dogs, or they can partake of all-you-can crawfish, too!
