ROCKWALL, TX (April 14, 2014) Fulton Academy has had a dream of offering a quality fine arts program and that dream is finally becoming reality. Elementary school teacher Amberly Brown is the connection between Fulton Academy and the Rockwall School of Music. Her devotion to Fulton Academy and her love for the fine arts was the link that connected these two organizations together.
Brown’s son has been studying violin for several years and until recently had no place to participate in a string ensemble. At a recent visit to the Rockwall School of Music while Adam was receiving a private lesson, a discussion developed between Brown and the owner of RSM, Russ Porter. Together they “birthed” the idea of a string program at Fulton Academy. After approval from the leadership at FA, the string program officially began Friday, April 4. “This is something we hope will continue for years to come,” said Brown.
Fulton Academy is located at 1623 Laurence Dr., in Heath and the Rockwall School of Music is located at 749 Justin Rd., Rockwall. To learn more about this unique partnership visit TheFultonSchool.org or RockwallMusic.com.
