ROCKWALL/HEATH, TX (May 27, 2014) The Rockwall Heath High School Mighty Hawk Band invites all first responders to attend their Spring Concert at 7 p.m. Thursday, May 29 at the Rockwall-Heath High School Performing Arts Center.
The RHHS Band has helped to commission the writing of a piece of music, “Tribute: Those Who Serve,” by James Grant. In memory of 9/11, the Wind Ensemble will perform the piece in honor of all first responders.
The composer says of the piece, “Tribute is dedicated to the bravery, heroism and sacrifice of First Responders. It invites us to pause and reflect on the daily acts of valor exhibited by the many First Responders in our local communities – law enforcement officials, firefighters, search and rescue teams, emergency medical technicians and citizen volunteers, to name a few.”
James Grant is a member of the Oxtongue Lake Volunteer Fire Department in Oxtongue Lake, Ontario.
