ROCKWALL, TX (June 20, 2014) Saturday, June 14 marked the first annual Rockwall Country Fair, sponsored by the Soroptimist Club of Rockwall. The Fair was well organized and well attended and will certainly will be a yearly anticipated event for the community in the future. The Rockwall Breakfast Rotary Club is pleased to have been a part of this great start.
The Rotary “booth” was there to inform the public of what Rotary means to the local community and explain the international reach of programs such as EndPolioNow and the PolioPlus fund of Rotary International.
The booth also featured the animated performance of Lionel T Lion to the amusement of children and adults alike. Lionel moves in life-like mannerisms as he sings educational songs geared for children, such as: sharing, washing hands before eating, bicycle safety, fire safety, when to call 911, etc.
The Rockwall Breakfast Rotary Club donated three Lionel T Lions to the Rockwall ISD for use in pre-school and elementary grades.
