ROCKWALL,TX. (September 4, 2014) Rockwall Pets is proud to announce a new board of directors. Christina Arriaga, Jeri Fontenot, Jennifer Peters, Amanda Singleton, and Anne Haddox have been appointed to the board. Each board member has dedicated a combined nine years of service to Rockwall Pets.
Christina, a dedicated animal lover, has saved numerous lives while still maintaining a full time position at AT&T. Nearly every day after work, Christina heads to the Dallas Shelter. She works closely with the staff to assist with dogs and cats that may need extended veterinary care and animals that have maxed out their time at the shelter. Last year Rockwall Pets saved 300 animals from the Dallas Shelter alone.
Jeri has dedicated many years to the Friends of Rowlett Shelter (FARS). Jeri works as a full time computer engineer and is an avid cat lover.
Local kennel owner and trainer, Jennifer Peters has dedicated time and space at her property to help those in need find a forever home. The Dog House has dedicated a whole room just to foster kittens and cats. This past year over 75 felines were saved from Dallas, Rowlett, Royse City and Commerce Shelters.
Amanda not only recruits humans for careers, she recruits volunteers for Rockwall Pets and has fostered many dogs.
Recently retired RISD Teacher, Anne Haddox, brings lots of knowledge in saving lives. She has a passion for animals and energy to dedicate to our marketing resources.
Rockwall Pets is an all volunteer Texas based 501(c)(3) non profit company formed by dedicated NO KILL advocates. We use innovative programs to get pets out of shelters alive. All of our pets are pulled from partnered shelters and placed in foster homes. You can find us around town at The Rockwall Farmers Market, Petco in Rockwall and Unleashed in Rowlett.
How can you help save a life? ADOPT, VOLUNTEER, FOSTER, and/or DONATE.
