(ROCKWALL, TX – April 6, 2015) The community is invited to join Rockwall Mayor Jim Pruitt at a number of upcoming “Meet the Mayor” events.
On Tuesday, April 14th, from 5:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m., Pruitt will welcome residents aboard Captain Scott Self’s “Harbor Lights” which will remain anchored at the Rockwall Harbor boat docks near the Hilton Hotel.
Mayor Pruitt will again discuss his vision for the city at Luigi’s Italian Café on Tuesday, April 21 from 5:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m.
Another event will be hosted at “Nineteen” at the Rockwall Golf and Athletic Club in the Shores on Friday, April 24 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
Mayor Pruitt said he is looking forward to meeting as many people as possible at the events. “I am so honored to be the mayor of this great city, and I want to make sure that I am accessible to everyone,” he said. “One of the first things I did when I became mayor was to institute open office hours so that anyone could come and ask questions or educate me about an issue in the community. I look forward to continuing this trend if I am returned to office in May.”
Everyone is welcome to attend each “Meet the Mayor” event, and Pruitt said that questions are encouraged.
“All of us have a vested interest in this place we call home. I really am interested in hearing what residents have to say.”
Early voting starts on Monday, April 27 and Election Day is Saturday, May 9.
