(ROWLETT, TX – April 27, 2015) Rowlett’s Community Health Paramedic Program, a partnership between Lake Pointe Health Network and Rowlett Fire Rescue, was presented with the Tenet Clinical Innovation Award. The Tenet Clinical Innovation Award honors one hospital each year for incorporating new and innovative ways to drive improvements in patient care. Established last year, Rowlett’s Community Health Paramedic Program aims to increase patient access to primary and preventative care, provide medical intervention within the community health model and ultimately improve the health of the community we serve.

This award is part of Tenet Healthcare’s “Commitment to Quality” program, which focuses on four key areas: safety, quality, service and outcomes and serves as the foundation of their patient care philosophy. For the past several years, they have recognized outstanding individuals who have helped develop such innovative approaches through the Clinical Innovation Awards program.
