(ROCKWALL, TX – July 2, 2015) Premier, Inc. has recognized Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital Rockwall as a finalist for the QUEST® Award for High-value Healthcare in providing outstanding patient care. Nationally, out of over 300 hospitals considered for the award, Texas Health Rockwall was one of seven to be named a finalist. To be recognized as a Quest finalist a hospital had to achieve top performance in at least six areas which include cost and efficiency, inpatient and outpatient evidence-based care, mortality, safety, patient experience and appropriate hospital use.

Specifically, Texas Health Rockwall is being recognized for their success in:
- Reducing the average cost of care per discharge
- Reliably delivering inpatient and outpatient evidence-based care measures in the areas of heart attack, heart failure, pneumonia and surgical care
- Improving the hospital experience so that patients and families favorably rate their stay and would recommend the facility
- Reducing preventable harm events
- Reducing rate of readmissions
QUEST is a performance improvement collaborative of approximately 365 hospitals working to make healthcare safer, more efficient and consistently effective. All QUEST hospitals participating in QUEST from January 2014-October 2014 were eligible for the QUEST Award.
