(ROCKWALL, TX – September 22, 2015) On Sunday, September 13, 2015, at approximately 8:23pm, the Rockwall Police Department received a report of a 17 year old male subject who claimed that he had been shot by an unknown assailant in the 2700 block of Faircrest Drive.
At the time of the initial report there was very limited information provided by the victim on how the alleged shooting occurred and no physical description of a suspect was given. Based on the initial investigation, investigators believed this was an isolated incident and there was no threat to the general public.
The investigation has now been completed and it was determined the gunshot wound was a result of an accidental discharge of a firearm by the victim and there were no other persons involved. The investigation is closed and there are no criminal charges being filed in regards to this incident.
