Rockwall Rubber Duck Regatta winners announced

(ROCKWALL, TX – Oct 1, 2015) It was a quackin’ good time at The Harbor this past weekend as overflow crowds of festival-goers flocked to the fountains to see thousands of little rubber duckies race in to the finish line.

Hundreds came to vote on dozens of “duckerated” entries in the Corporate Duck Pageant, and to visit a wide variety of vendor booths at the 2015 Rubber Duck Regatta benefiting Meals on Wheels Senior Services and Boys and Girls Club of Rockwall County.

Several wildly-imaginative, artistic and downright whacky (or should I say quacky?) costumed rubber ducks showed up for this year’s Corporate Duck Pageant, which saw many local businesses and organizations up their game in the creative department to vie for the $500 first place prize.

People’s Choice Award – Donald Trump Duck by Mirror Mirror Hair Studio

Ugly Duckling Award – Alien Wraps’ “Alien”

Folks also had the chance to adopt a baby duck to compete in the Glow in the Dark and Baby Duck races of the Duck Regatta for fabulous prizes, including the chance to win $10,000 for the Unlucky Luck Duck crossing the finish line in 13^th place.
