(ROCKWALL, TX – Nov 6, 2015) The lessons learned at Rockwall ISD Quest Academy go much deeper than schoolwork. Each year, Principal Brian Neely and Counselor Michel Jensen incorporate service projects into the curriculum.
Most recently, Quest students decorated and delivered pumpkins to Autumn Leaves nursing home. They played board games, Dominoes, and Bingo with the senior residents. Their next philanthropic adventure will include a stop at Rock Ridge Assisted Living and Memory Care, where they will decorate doors and play games with the residents for Thanksgiving.
In addition to benevolent pursuits, Quest Academy will host three College & Career Days this school year that will include guest speakers and take campus tours at Collin College, Eastfield College, and the Art Institute.
The Gap Program and the Choice Program at Quest Academy afford students the opportunity to catch up on credits, graduate on the recommended plan, and, many times, graduate early. Every graduate leaves with a post-secondary plan, including financial aid application, college applications filled out, and/or a career action plan.
