(ROCKWALL, TX – Feb. 16, 2016) The Rockwall High School Stingerette Competition Team and elite dance team Stingerette Show Stoppers competed this past weekend at the Crowd Pleasers Dallas Area Competition, where 76 teams competed. The Stingerette Competition Team won FIRST PLACE in the Pom Category.
The Stingerette Show Stoppers competed in Jazz, Contemporary, Open, and Novelty categories where they took home FIRST PLACE in every category they entered, as well as OVERALL GRAND CHAMPIONS. They also received Outstanding choreography in Open, Novelty, and Contemporary categories, as well as Best Precision, Best Overall Technique, and the Crowd Pleasers Award for Great Artistry in the Open category. The Stingerette Show Stoppers also won Super Sweepstakes by earning above a 93 on all routines entered. The Stingerettes had three solo finalists – Cameron Ballenger, Brooke Peterson, and Tatum Graham, with Tatum taking home FIRST PLACE in her division. It was a great day to be a Rockwall Stingerette!
