News Splash: Big cats have big time with two new swimming pools, waterfall

(WYLIE, TX – March 7, 2016) In-Sync Exotics Wildlife Rescue and Educational Center’s cats have new pools in time for Spring Break.

The cats of In-Sync now have even more to enjoy at playtime, as pools in two more playground areas have been completed.

The Mane Street enclosure’s lions love their new splash pool.  Even though lions typically do not play in water, lions Lambert (pictured) and Rafiki have grown up with access to a pool, and have learned what fun water can be.  In the heat of Texas summers, this will also help to keep the big cats cool.

The second pool is located in the newest tiger enclosure, Amolly Wally Way, and is aptly named Amolly Wally Bay.  The pool boasts an impressive waterfall, an island, and a cave behind the waterfall where the big cats can lounge in the shade.  Tigers are known for their love of water, and in the wild are often seen swimming while hunting, cooling off, or just for fun.

“These new pools wouldn’t have been possible without all of our amazing supporters. We are so blessed.” ~ In-Sync Exotics’ President and CEO, Vicky Keahey

In-Sync is open to visitors for the week of Spring Break, March 7-11 from 11am -5pm, and is open Saturdays and Sundays from 11am-6pm.
