Speeding For Scholarships event to benefit graduating Royse City High School seniors

(ROYSE CITY, TX — May 4, 2016) The Royse City Chamber of Commerce and Royse City ISD invites all to the Speeding For Scholarships fundraising event on June 3 from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. at the Dallas Karting Complex in Caddo Mills (5025 FM 1565). This event is geared toward all ages and families and is taking place the day after school lets out, so it is truly a beginning of summer bash! There is a course specific for the younger drivers/riders as well as an adult track. Some things to look forward to are:

1st, 2nd & 3rd Place Trophies in 3 Age Categories

The Royse City ISD and the Chamber of Commerce have long been strong supporters of one another. For several years the Chamber has given a $1,000 Scholarship to two graduating seniors from Royse City High School. In 2014 when the First Lady of Royse City, Ouida Baley, passed away, the Chamber established a scholarship in her name and honor, with a desire to generate enough income from that particular scholarship donation drive to begin giving three college scholarships instead of two each year. Proceeds of the event will help fund these scholarships for graduating Royse City High School seniors.
