(ROCKWALL, TX – May 17, 2016) The contractor for TXDOT, Ed Bell Construction, has informed the City of Rockwall that traffic will be switched on FM 3097 / Horizon Road from existing pavement to temporary paving as part of the reconstruction project. The change will be made on Thursday, May 19.
The traffic switch includes the closing of access from Holland Court, Brockway Drive, and Mulberry Lane to FM 3097. The contractor has indicated these streets will not be accessible from FM 3097 for approximately eight weeks depending weather conditions. Residents are encouraged to identify and use alternate routes into the neighborhood.
The Texas Department of Transportation is reconstructing this roadway from the intersection of FM 740 to Tubbs Road, from a two-lane asphalt roadway to a four-lane divided concrete street. Additional updates will be provided as the project progresses. Thank you for your patience.
