(ROCKWALL, TX – Nov. 17, 2016) Select Honors Band students recently competed to earn a spot in the UIL Region 25 All-Region Band. With nearly 1,000 students trying out from Allen, McKinney, Lovejoy, Rockwall, and Wylie school districts, Williams Middle School Band Director Ryan Straten was happy to announce that 11 WMS students earned a spot in the Region Band.
“This is a HUGE honor, especially competing against so many students for a small number of spots,” said Staten. Sarah Lawton and Braden Wills have received this honor for the second year in a row. Congratulations to each of these talented musicians.
