Celebrate Dog Days of Summer with your pet in Rockwall next weekend

Rockwall Dog Days includes low-cost vaccines for pets

(ROCKWALL, TX – June 17, 2017) Are you looking for a fun way to celebrate outdoors with your furry friend next weekend? Rockwall Dog Days is almost here. The event kicks off next Saturday, June 24, at Harry Myers Park West, 875 East Washington Street, with a low-cost vaccination clinic and microchipping; free pet registrations with proof of residency and rabies vaccine; and tons of activities to entertain Rockwall residents and their dogs and cats.

Some of the festivities include a dog splash area and demonstrations from the City of Rockwall’s new W.I.L.D. (Wildlife Instructional Learning and Discovery) Trailer, which shares information about ways to safely interact with local wildlife.

The free event takes place from 9 a.m. – 1 p.m., with low cost vaccinations and microchipping being offered from 10 a.m. – 12 noon. Mingling Mouth Food Truck will also be on site selling delicious food.

Cats must be in a carrier and dogs must be on a leash. Cash and credit cards only are accepted for the vaccinations and microchipping. Twice a year, the City of Rockwall offers a low-cost solution for pet vaccinations and the next one happens in September.
