Job fair, free workshops offered in Irving

The Irving Public Library’s Job Center will host a job fair from 1 to 4 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 26 at the Central Library Auditorium, 801 W. Irving Blvd.

Job seekers will be able to meet with recruiters from local companies to discuss employment openings, submit résumés and schedule interviews.

A series of free workshops will also be offered to help residents gain the skills needed to find employment. Classes will be held daily at 2 p.m. Jan. 31-Feb. 3. Among the topics covered will be writing résumés, interviewing, online job searches and company research. There is no need to register.
