This morning, students at Billie Stevenson Elementary School received honorable awards for “Terrific Kids,” a student-recognition program sponsored by Kiwanis Club of Rockwall County to promote leadership and character development.
“Terrific” stands for: Thoughtful, Enthusiastic, Respectful, Responsible, Inclusive, Friendly, Inquisitive and Capable. Students work with their classroom teacher to establish goals to improve behavior, peer relationships, attendance or school work. All students who achieve their goals after a specified time are recognized. Acknowledgement includes receiving a certificate for being a Terrific Kid, along with other giveaways.
