(ROCKWALL/HEATH, TX) Amy Parks-Heath Elementary School PTO officially broke ground this morning on the APHE Outdoor Learning Center, which Blue Ribbon News initially told you about here. Construction starts next week!
The Outdoor Learning Center would not be possible without the generosity of sponsors, donors, teachers, parents, volunteers, planners, and board members who believe in this opportunity for the Mariners.
The APHE PTO extends a special thanks to Donnie Watts (D&D Landscaping) and Michael Satterfield (Parkview Homes TX), along with their families. Both of these Dads have been instrument in making the project possible. PTO Board member, Michelle Mitchell, is also recognized for her hard work and dedication coordinating this project over the past two years.
Thanks to the Outdoor Learning Center Planning Committee and today’s official groundbreakers: Jimmy Strohmeyer (the original architect of the school 25 years ago), Megan Smith, Donnie Watts, Lindsey Spraggins, Janice Logino, Michael Satterfield, Renee Clover, Michelle Mitchell. Not pictured, but big contributors in the planning process: Lora (LB) Vestal and Danielle Patterson.
