Notice of Rockwall ISD school board meeting Monday, public comments welcome

ROCKWALL, TX – July 31, 2020 – The Rockwall ISD Board of Trustees will hold a meeting at 6 p.m. Monday, Aug. 3 in Room 600 of the Administration/Education Center, 1050 Williams Street, or via video conference. Agenda items are shown below.

Due to health concerns related to COVID-19, online public comments may be submitted via email. Online public comments must be submitted by 5:30 p.m. Monday, Aug. 3. Please include your name and address when submitting public comments. Public comments may be emailed to publiccomment@Rockwallisd.org. Timely submitted public comments in advance of this meeting will be provided to the Board. The names of the individuals and the subject matter of their comments will be noted in the meeting minutes consistent with the Board’s practice. However, public comments submitted in writing will not be read aloud at the meeting. Individuals who wish to participate in public comment in person must sign up at the location noted between 5:30 and 6 p.m. before the Board meeting.

Please note that due to social distancing practices, seating at the Board meeting will be limited. Specifically, 24 individuals will be able to sit in the Board room and 32 individuals will be able to sit in the overflow room with a live stream of the meeting. The District will not be able to accommodate more than this number. However, a recording of the meeting will be made available on the district’s website.
