ROCKWALL, TX – Nov. 21, 2020 – The Girl’s Track Team at Rockwall-Heath High School partnered with Rockwall County Helping Hands Food Pantry to bring well wishes and good food to families this Thanksgiving.
A freshman team member and her mother, Mrs. Miller, approached RHHS girl’s track team coach, Kyla Hammond, with the idea of creating cards for the gift baskets that the Rockwall County food pantry is putting together. Coach Hammond agreed to support the creative idea and the 25-member track team led by team captain Rylee W. set upon creating 200-plus individual cards. This is the inaugural initiative blending well wishes with a gift box of food for families in Rockwall County.
