ROCKWALL, TX – March 2, 2021 – Civic-minded local business owner, Frank Conselman, announced his candidacy for Rockwall ISD Board of Trustees Place 2.
“Great schools are the core of great communities,” Conselman said. “I am running to ensure that as RISD grows, we remain focused on the classroom and give our students and teachers every tool they need to succeed.”
Frank and his wife, Dr. Nicole Conselman, have been proud Rockwall residents for almost 20 years after initially being attracted by RISD’s exceptional schools. As a father of four, Frank knows the importance of a parent’s voice in education, and he will work to ensure that every parent is heard throughout Rockwall ISD. Frank also understands that great teachers make great schools, and he will prioritize supporting teachers.
Frank is a long-time member of the PTA and has served on numerous RISD committees including the 2015 and 2019 bond committees and the high school campus principal search committee.
He has volunteered for many years in several elementary and middle school parent programs including Watch Dogs and Promise Makers, and he has coached youth sports for 17 years.
Frank also served our community as the former President of the Rockwall County YMCA Board, former President of the Rockwall Rotary Club, and has twice been honored with the Rotary Club’s Service Above Self Award. In 2017, Frank was awarded the Carnegie Hero Medal for saving two men from drowning while on vacation in Florida.
Frank and Nicole are proud parents of four children, two of whom have graduated from Rockwall High School. Charley and Maddy’s 13 years in Rockwall ISD prepared them to thrive at The University of Texas and Texas A&M University respectively. Charley is currently a second-year medical school student at UT Houston, and Maddy will graduate from Texas A&M University with a biomedical science degree and plans to attend medical school as well. The couple’s younger two children are Jack and Lauren. Jack is a junior at Rockwall High School, and Lauren is in the 8th grade at Williams Middle School. The Conselmans are members of First United Methodist Church in Rockwall.
