Boy Scout Merit Badge Course offered at fire station

(Lewisville) Lewisville Emergency Management Division will host a free Boy Scout Emergency Preparedness Merit Badge course from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 17 at Lewisville Central Fire Station, 188 N. Valley Parkway.

Scouts will complete the majority of the Emergency Preparedness Merit Badge requirements during this session. Some “at-home” work such as family disaster plans, troop mobilizations and CPR/First Aid information will not be covered. An information packet will be provided upon registration.

Class size is limited to 30 Scouts and the course is offered only twice per year, in March and September. For information, call Emergency Management Coordinator Summer Wilhelm at 972-219-5012.
