(Rowlett) The City of Rowlett Animal Shelter and Friends of Rowlett Animals will host the third annual Pooch Plunge from 4 to 7 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 21 at Wet Zone Family Waterpark, 5304 Main Street in Rowlett.
The cost is $5 per dog; humans get in free. Each dog need rabies tags or proof of vaccinations to participate. Proceeds from ticket sales assist needy animals in the Rowlett area.
Among the local sponsors of the event: Dry Clean USA, Four Paws Animal Hospital, Massage Envy, Covingtons Nursery, ElamPack Surveyors, Petcetera Boarding and Grooming, B&B Lawncare, Car-o-liner Southwest, Classic Jewelry and Pawn and Preferred Powder Coating.
