Many cancers, ONE RUN

(Dallas) A 5K Run and 1K Walk benefiting Cancer Support Community North Texas is set for Saturday, Sept. 10 at Reverchon Park in Dallas. The inaugural ONE RUN also includes a 100-yard Children’s Dribble and Dash, family activities, free food and drinks, and a post-race party featuring the Vocal Trash band.

Registration is at 7 a.m. The post-race celebration kicks off at 8:45 a.m. 5K awards will be presented to the top male and female Overall, Masters and Wheelchair; and to the top three for 14 and under; and five-year divisions from 15-19 to 80-plus.

Cancer Support Community North Texas serves the area in two locations: One Works of Grace Plaza, 2710 Oak Lawn Ave. in Dallas; and Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital in Allen. CSCNT is the only Texas affiliate of Cancer Support Community, which is touted as the largest international nonprofit dedicated to providing support, education, hope and community to people affected by cancer. CSCNT offers support and networking groups, educational programs, workshops and social events.

RACE DAY SCHEDULE

Race Day Registration – 7 a.m.

Children’s 100 Yard Dribble & Dash – 7:45 a.m.

1k Walk – 8:10 a.m.

5K Run/Walk – 8:30 a.m.

Post-Party Celebration with Vocal Trash – 8:45-11 a.m.
