Texas Retired Teachers Association hosts District X fall convention

The District X Fall Convention of the Texas Retired Teachers Association was held Oct. 17 in Dallas at the Highland Springs Retirement Community. The annual meeting included many reports, the election of officers and the address by the keynote speaker, Herbert Norris, TRTA President.

The Rockwall Area Retired Teachers Association was represented by Becky Cecil, Ginny Progelhof, and Barbara Bateman.

The next Rockwall meeting will be at 1:15 p.m. Monday, Nov.14 in the RISD Administration Building. Pat Stodghill will present the program entitled “How to save those memories – in poetry or prose”. The meeting is open to all retired school employees and their guests.
