K9 unit, adoptable pets at Lewisville’s first Paws in the Park

Rescue groups and their dogs, local shelters, vets invited to participate

Lewisville Animal Services will host its first off-site pet adoption event, “Paws in the Park,” from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 12 at the northeast parking lot of Toyota of Lewisville Railroad Park. The location is across the street from the new Lewisville Animal Shelter and Adoption Center location, currently under construction.

In addition to Lewisville Animal Shelter adoptable dogs, invitees include animal rescue organizations and their adoptable dogs, other local municipal animal shelters with their adoptable pets, local veterinarians, pet supply product and pet service vendors, the Lewisville Police K-9 unit and more.

Lewisville Animal Services staff will be on hand to direct vendor setup, adopt dogs, take names for future volunteers, answer questions and hand out pet giveaways.
