Citizen input, voting Saturday for Rowlett’s Scenic Point Park

(Rowlett) Presentations and voting opportunities on the development and design of Scenic Point Park will be offered every half hour from 9:15 to 11:45 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 21 at the Rowlett Community Centre.

Scenic Point Park, located in the northeast quadrant of the city of the Rowlett side of the two-mile bridge to Rockwall, is considered the gateway into Rowlett. Unique features include  its location on the shoreline of Lake Ray Hubbard, and a little beach on the north side of the spur formed by the old Highway 66. Small alcoves with intimate viewing to the lake exist along the entire stretch of the park.

The city of Rowlett seeks public input into the design process, to help shape the community vision for the park which has great potential to become an outdoor recreational entertainment destination.
