Lake Pointe Health Network names new COO

Debbie Moeller, Chief Operating Officer, Lake Pointe Health Network

(Rowlett) Jan. 23, 2012 – Lake Pointe Health Network today announced the appointment of Debbie Moeller as chief operating officer.  Moeller, whose appointment took effect Jan. 20, is now responsible for all operations of the network.

Moeller is not new to LPHN.  For the past ten years, she has held the role of chief nursing officer.  Under her leadership, Lake Pointe has become a national leader in quality while significantly expanding its acute care capabilities.

Moeller’s ability to motivate, align and mentor her staff is illustrated by the Pathway to Excellence designations that LPHN has been granted twice during her tenure.  She also manages the Quality Department that was recently recognized by the Joint Commission as a Top Performer for Key Quality Indicators, placing LPHN in the top 14% of Joint Commission accredited hospitals of those that report core measure performance data.

Moeller joined Tenet Healthcare in 1989 at Doctors Hospital of White Rock Lake where she served as director of emergency services, later developing multiple programs including a Skilled Nursing Floor, Home Health, Hospice and a Diabetes Center.

“Debbie is an outstanding nurse executive and has developed a cohesive and extremely effective nursing organization for our network,” said J. Eric Evans, chief executive officer of Lake Pointe Medical Center.  “I am very excited to work with Debbie in her new capacity and have no doubt she will continue to drive exceptional growth and outstanding service and quality performance in her new role.”

Moeller received her bachelor of science in nursing degree from the University of Texas at Arlington, and her master’s degree in business and human relations from Amber University.  She is currently NEA-BC certified with the American Nursing Credentialing Centerand a member of American Organization of Nurse Executives, Texas Nursing Association, AORN, AMSN and North Texas Nurses Organization.
