Join Lake Pointe Medical Center from 7:30 a.m. to noon Saturday, Feb. 18 for a Women’s Heart Month celebration.
Receive free health screenings*, attend educational presentations by physicians and allied health professionals and visit informational booths. A complimentary buffet breakfast will be provided.
Admission is FREE, so grab your girlfriends and register today. There will be goody bags and door prizes, too!
The event will be at Lake Pointe Medical Center, Inservice Room, 6800 Scenic Drive in Rowlett, 75088. The breakfast buffet will be from 7:30 to 10 a.m., with screenings and booths open from 7:30 a.m. to noon. Health presentations start at 8:30 a.m. and include:
- Lake Pointe Health Network Overview by J. Eric Evans, CEO, LPHN;
- Women and Heart Disease by Anthony Yoon, MD, FACC -Cardiology;
- Importance of Activity by Holly Lay, RN, Cardiac Rehabilitation, LPHN;
- Heart-Healthy Eating by Mary Bachmeyere, RD, LD-Dietician;
- Breast Cancer Awarenesss by Barbara Quast, RN-Cancer Nurse Navigator, LPHN;
- Gynecological Considerations by Stephanie Shisler, MD-OB-GYN.
Screenings to include bone density, blood pressure, cholesterol and glucose.
