Friday Study Club learns about glass sculptures coming to Arboretum

Rockwall’s oldest women’s club, Friday Study Club, organized in 1919, met recently in the home of Carolyn Duckworth.

The program was presented by Margaret Duncan, a volunteer at the Dallas Arboretum since 2004.  Duncan shared detailed information about glass artist, Chihuly, who will fill the 66 acre garden at the Arboretum with his iconic sculptures beginning May 5 through Nov. 5, 2012.

Chihuly, born in 1941 in Tacoma, Washington,  has been called our “only living national treasure.”
