The Rockwall Community Playhouse presents Of Mice and Men on stage March 16, 17, 18, 23, 24, 25, 30, 31 and April 1.

Show times are 8 p.m. Friday and Saturday; 2 p.m. Sunday.

The show will be directed by Doug Luke. Of Mice and Men tells the story of two drifters, George and Lennie.  They have just arrived at a ranch to work for enough money to buy their own place.

Lennie is a man-child, a little boy in the body of a dangerously powerful man.  George’s promise to allow Lennie to “tend to the rabbits” on their future land keeps Lennie calm, amidst distractions.

But when a ranch boss’ promiscuous wife is found dead in the barn, it’s obvious that Lennie killed her. George is faced with a moral question: how should he deal with Lennie before the ranchers find him and take matters into their own hands.
