Earth Day Festival, Bug Bonanza at Calloway’s Saturday

Discover how to draw butterflies and hummingbirds to your garden.

On Saturday, April 21 Calloway’s and Cornelius Nursery will celebrate Earth Day by featuring organic products, beneficial insect displays, offering gardening advice and more at all 19 garden center locations in the Dallas, Fort Worth and Houston areas.

Stores will open at 9 a.m. and will feature two key clinics that offer guidelines for a healthier garden environment. At 10:15 a.m. gardening experts will facilitate “A Garden in Motion” clinic that demonstrates how to create a garden that attracts butterflies and hummingbirds. Then, at 2:15 p.m. the “Gardening Naturally” clinic will provide information on how to create healthy pest-free lawns and flowerbeds using natural and organic solutions.

Experience the ladybug and earthworm displays – fun and informational for all ages.

“At Calloway’s and Cornelius Nursery, we are committed to helping gardeners find earth-friendly solutions. From our organic line of products to beneficial insects to plants native to Texas, we have it all and look forward to the annual Earth Day celebration,” Kimberly Bird, Vice President of Retail Marketing, said.
