(Heath) June 12, 2012 – The Heath Hawks Baseball Team is hardly slowing down after their 2012 Class 4-A State Championship win.
They will be honored at 7:15 p.m. Monday, June 18 during the Rockwall ISD School Board meeting.

Family, fans, and community members are encouraged to join the celebration to show support and offer congratulations to the players. State Championship T-shirts, designed by Rockwall Sports, will be available for $10 each during the party at Dodie’s, and during Heath Hawk Baseball Camp.
The Hawks will also be recognized by the Heath City Council at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, June 19.
They will be honored at the Harbor FreedomFest from 8 to 9 p.m. on Sunday, July 1; fireworks to follow.
The State Champs have also been invited to lead Heath’s Fourth of July Parade beginning at 9 a.m. and ending at the Hawks Nest – with a city-wide ceremony following the parade.
BASEBALL CAMP
It’s also time for the 2012 Hawk Baseball Camp, under the direction of the Heath Hawks varsity coaching staff.
Future Hawks will receive instruction designed to develop the skills of hitting, fielding and throwing. A game will be played each day of camp, to allow campers to display these skills in a fun and competitive atmosphere.
The camp will be held at the Rockwall-Heath High School baseball fields. Sessions are 8 to 11:30 a.m. June 18 – 20 for incoming kindergarten through sixth graders; and noon to 3:30 p.m. June 18-20 for incoming seventh through ninth graders. Registration is $85 per player and includes a Hawk camp T-shirt. Campers need to bring a glove, hat, bat and helmet if possible. Please also send water and have the camper’s name on everything.
Walk-ups are also welcome at the camp.
Thank you to Randy Hudson, President of the Hawk Baseball Booster Club, for keeping us updated on the Heath Hawks activities. And thanks to Carl McClung for his photos.
