Weekly Children’s Programs

Baby Story Time – Mondays:  Walking Babies 10:30-11:15 am and Lapsit Babies 11:30 am-12:15 pm

Join us for an interactive story time between baby and caregiver which will include songs, nursery rhymes, big books, puppets, peek-a-boo parachute play and bubbles; followed by a short play time. 

Toddler Story Time – Wednesdays:  10:30-11:15 am

Join us for books, songs, action rhymes, finger plays, puppets, a simple craft, bubbles and parachute play!

Preschool Story Time – Fridays:   10:30-11:15 am

Join us for books, songs, action rhymes, finger plays, flannel stories, puppets, music and marching, a craft, bubbles and parachute play!

Story Time at McDonald’s– 10:30 am

Join us at McDonald’s for books, songs, action rhymes, finger plays, and a craft!

Hwy 66 & Rowlett Rd – Presented on the 2nd Tuesday of every month

Lakeview Pkwy, between Chiesa and Dalrock – Presented on the 4th Tuesday of every month

Adult and Family Programs

Library Camp: Olympics Style – August 3rd at 2 pm

The Rowlett Public Library is promoting the Olympics with books, crafts, and games. Participate in Summer Olympic Trials such as the Equestrian Event and Landlubbers’ Synchronized Swimming. Free for kids in grades K-5.

Library Camp: Camping – August 10th at 2 pm

The Rowlett Public Library is having on last camp-out for our Library Campers with books, crafts, and games. Prepare to be scared with spooky camp tales and cardboard camp food. Free for kids in grades K-5.

Library Camp: Back to School – August 17th at 2 pm

Prepare yourself for going back to school with goofy school stories and useful tips so you can RULE THE SCHOOL. Free for kids grades K-5.

Sound the Alarm – August 8th at 2pm

Sound the alarm summer is almost over! Come and build a Rube Goldberg contraption with Dr. Connolly, Assistant Director for the Science and Engineering Center at UTD. The contraption will be built to set off an alarm. Free for teens ages 12-18.
