Garland Chamber to host 28th annual Partnership Golf Tournament

Tournament benefits Chamber’s efforts in maintaining a viable economy through  friendly competition on the fairway

(Garland) August 14, 2012 – The Garland Chamber of Commerce will host its 28th Annual Partnership Golf Tournament at Firewheel Golf Park on Sept. 14, 2012.

The Chamber, together with this year’s title sponsors Plastipak Packaging, Inc. and Garland Power & Light, annually presents this unique opportunity to give businesses across the Dallas Metroplex a place to market their services, build brand awareness and support the economic development of Garland. More than 25 locally-based companies have signed up to sponsor the tournament with many others contributing various donations such as door prizes and food.

Although there are many charitable golf tournaments offered throughout the year, the Chamber’s is a stand-out. More than just a day on the golf course, the Chamber encourages participants to use the tournament as a business tool by entertaining prospective clients, rewarding loyal customers or reconnecting with employees to build office morale; but the business benefits are even more than meets the eye. All profits go to the Garland Chamber to support its efforts to grow the local economy as part of the Garland Economic Development Partnership, which enhances the business climate of Garland by recruiting new industry, growing the tax base and helping existing businesses succeed. The GEDP is certainly a partnership to be proud of as it continually works to make sure Garland grows and realizes its full potential.

The Chamber’s tournament offers a range of sponsorship levels to best-suit the needs of any size company. Benefits vary by investment and may include team playing spots, marketing exposure and other specific options.
