Pooch Plunge to benefit Rowlett’s homeless pets
Sassy Lloyd of Sachse enjoys the 2011 Pooch Plunge.

Bring your four-legged best friend to the Friends of Rowlett Animals’ Fourth Annual Pooch Plunge from 4 to 7 p.m. Sunday, August 19 at Wet Zone in Rowlett.

The event benefits Rowlett’s homeless pets, and features the Hula Hound Costume Contest, the Distance Dive, Bobbing for Hotdogs, and Funniest Trick contest.

The cost is only $5 per dog; humans get in free. Rabies tags or paper copies of vaccinations are required.

FRAs would like to thank Gail Fischer, Leader of the Pack Sponsor, for her second year of generous support.

Special thanks also to Gold Leash Sponsors, Elizabeth & Bill Blundell with  B&B Lawn Care; Tim and Shelly Curran with Car-o-liner Southwest; and Ross Smith with Preferred Powder Coating.

Warmest appreciation also to Animal Adovcate Sponsors, David Buxton with Classic Jewelry and Pawn; and Nancy Petty.
