(Rockwall) September 16, 2012 – Rockwall’s Original Pumpkin Patch kicks off its 24th year with a ribbon cutting ceremony at 9 a.m. Saturday, September 29.
Rockwall’s Original Pumpkin Patch is a nonprofit all-volunteer community effort and benefits the Rockwall County Library and Council of Catholic Women or Our Lady of the Lake.
Located at the Ridge Road Shopping Center, 1201 Ridge Road in Rockwall (near Brookshire’s), the Pumpkin Patch will be open from at from 9 am to 7 pm daily through October 27.
A wide assortment of Fall decorating items will be available. Pumpkins of all varieties, gourds, squashes, straw bales and cornstalks will complement the mums and pansies at your front doorway.
Delicious deli items made by members of the sponsoring groups will serve as appetizers for your Fall entertaining and also make wonderful gifts for friends and neighbors.
An exciting lineup of children’s activities is scheduled for each Saturday. Bring your children and grandchildren to enjoy story times, crafts and face painting. At noon each Saturday there will be a special entertainment.
On opening day, magician Bryan Lankford will appear. On the following Saturdays, there will be a balloon artist, children’s choir and a Rockwall Fire Department’s fire truck.
