National Charity League past presidents to host tea honoring Class of 2013 Senior Moms

(ROCKWALL-March 18, 2013) The Past-Presidents of the Lone Star Chapter of National Charity League will host an afternoon Tea at the home of Denise Bennett, on March 24 in honor of the Class of 2013 Senior Mothers.

This is the first annual Tea, hosted by the past NCL presidents, in coordination with the Sustainers, also known as the SUPER NOVAs, and the active Lone Star NCL Chapter.

All Past-Presidents of NCL are urged to contact the SUPER NOVAs President, Nancy Farrar, to be included in the hosting of the Tea.  All past or former NCL members are invited to come and have a wonderful afternoon, welcoming the incoming group of sustainers and catching-up with past members, including those from the commencing ticktocker Senior Class of 1985.

The mission of National Charity League is to foster mother-daughter relationships in a philanthropic organization committed to community service, leadership development and cultural experiences.  Every year, the Lone Star Chapter of NCL presents their Senior Class to the community, celebrating their hours of philanthropic services over a six-year period to the Rockwall/Heath communities.  The sustainer group, aka SUPER NOVAs, is a past NCL member organization committed to the continuation of the social and philanthropic support of the member mothers and their daughters.   The SUPER NOVAs meet about once per month to have fun, socialize and help with philanthropic organizations as needed.

The Sustainers group will be kicking off their annual membership drive at the Past-Presidents’ Tea.  If you are a past NCL member and would like to attend the Tea, please RSVP by March 20 to Jennifer Davenport at 213-695-2211 or .  If you would like to join the SUPER NOVAs sustainers group, please contact Nancy Farrar at 214-536-5429 or r for a schedule of events to be sent to you.  You do not have to pay dues to be a part of the SUPER NOVAs, but membership is highly encouraged to support the National Organization as well as the Lone Star Chapter of NCL.  The sustainer membership dues are $30 for past patronesses and $10 for each past-ticktockers.  The sustainer membership drive will continue until May 31, 2013.
