(ROCKWALL – March 28, 2013) The Rockwall County Democratic Party Executive Committee met in March to elect new officers. Alieca Hux, Senate District 2 Executive Committee member and George Nassar,Texas Democratic Party Parliamentarian participated. The meeting was chaired by Philip Borawski and attended by active Democrats.
Judith Matherne was elected County Chair. Matherne has been active in the Democratic Party since moving to Rockwall in 2006, she will serve out the term left vacant by the resignation of Terri StClair. StClair will continue her work with the Texas Young Democrats. Mary Hanrahan, active member in the Rockwall County Democratic Party and a candidate for Rockwall City Council, was elected Secretary. Nancy Barber, active for many years in the Dallas Democratic Party before moving to Heath and experienced in finance, was elected Treasurer. Terms of Secretary and Treasurer are concurrent with the term of County Chair.
