Rockwall-Heath robotics qualify for world championships, again!

(ROCKWALL/HEATH-April 7, 2013) The Black Hawk Robotics team won the Dallas Regional FIRST Robotics Competition on March 21-23.  By winning this regional event, the team qualifies to attend the FIRST Robotics Championship in St Louis, April 24-27.

This is the second consecutive year that the team has qualified for the World Championships.  The championships includes teams from all over the US and 12 different countries. This year’s competition consisted of frisbee throwing and pyramid climbing robots.  Points are awarded by how many frisbees are scored in the goals and how high the robots can climb a 10 foot pyramid.  The Black Hawk Robotics team won the best two out of three finals by scores 108-86 and 136-74.
